Lace up your walking boots for MicroLoan and take on the challenge of climbing the highest peak in Malawi, Mount Mulanje.

The exhilarating four day trek will take you through challenging terrain but will reward you with some breathtaking views along the way before you reach the summit Sapitwa (3002m). Often shrouded in a picturesque mist, Mulanje is aptly named the ‘Island of Sky’ and is achievable for those looking to discover a real hidden gem of great African walks. The summit day of Sapitwa involves scrambling and steep drops – the summit is optional. You will sleep in mountain huts during the hike and porters will carry the communal equipment and necessities.

After completing the trek you will have the chance to visit one of MicroLoan Foundation’s local branches. You will meet our Malawi staff and visit the inspirational women to see first-hand the difference your fundraising is making. This is a once in a lifetime experience. During the last two days the group will spend time in Majete National Park and go on a boat safari and game walk.

Dates: 24 May – 2 June 2024
