This nomination is a great honour, placing them among just five finalists in the highly competitive Hunger & Poverty category. They were chosen from a pool of nearly 3,000 applicants across 120 countries. It’s a powerful global recognition of the impact we’re making towards Sustainable Development Goals 1 (No Poverty) and 2 (Zero Hunger).
For over two decades, MicroLoan Foundation has been dedicated to providing women in rural, low-income communities with the tools they need to lift themselves out of poverty. We’ve reached over 512,000 women with small loans, financial literacy and crucial business training. These efforts have not only helped women build resilient livelihoods in the face of climate and economic challenges. They have also positively impacted over 2.1 million children and vulnerable adults through improved food security, education and healthcare.
