Date: 26/04/2026
Location: London, UK

This April, our four fantastic runners will take on one of the world's most iconic marathons to raise vital funds for MicroLoan Foundation.

2026 London Marathon: Support Team MicroLoan and fund a woman’s future!

Our four incredible runners will take to the streets of London on Sunday 26 April 2026, challenging themselves to complete the nation’s most iconic marathon.

Running 26.2 miles requires months of dedication, discipline and determination. As race day approaches, our runners will be putting in countless hours of training — and they’ll need all the encouragement they can get to reach that finish line.

By joining #TeamMicroLoan, they are pushing themselves to the limit to raise funds that will help women living in poverty across sub-Saharan Africa start their own businesses and transform the futures of their families.

Every mile they run helps unlock opportunity.

More about what we do

MicroLoan Foundation provides small loans, business training and ongoing mentoring to women living in poverty in Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.

These women face enormous barriers to employment and financial independence. By giving them access to capital, training and support, we enable them to start and grow small, sustainable businesses.

With their businesses, women can provide greater access to food, education and healthcare for their children and families.

Since our founding in 2002, our work has impacted the lives of more than 3 million people.

After living and working in South Africa in 2008, Joti developed a deep connection to the region and its people. This connection is what inspired her to take on the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon in support of MicroLoan Foundation.

I felt proud to run for the women in MicroLoan's network who show much more endurance on a daily basis than it takes to run a marathon.
It was the most magical, unforgettable day. The crowds, the atmosphere, and the rush of emotions at the finish line. Granted, you might sacrifice a few toenails - worth every one.
