2026 London Marathon: Join Team MicroLoan!

For 2026, MicroLoan Foundation has places available to join  #TeamMicroLoan. Our team will be hitting the streets of London on Sunday 26th April 2026 challenging themselves to take on the nation’s favourite Marathon.

#Team MicroLoan are helping us raise funds so we can support even more women in sub-Saharan Africa start their own businesses and transform the lives of their families. They will be putting in many hours of training to complete the 26.2 mile course, and need as much encouragement as possible to reach the finish line.

MicroLoan Foundation provides small loans, training and ongoing support to women living in poverty in Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabawe. In this way we enable them to start and grow small sustainable businesses. Each women we work with supports four children on average. By starting a small business women are able to provide greater access to food, education and healthcare to their families.

Since our inception in 2002, our work has benefitted over 2.6million people. For every £25 we raise we can provide a small loan and training to another women living in poverty.

Support our runners by donating to their fundraising campaign. Every donation no matter the size will spur on our team and help women living in poverty start and grow small, sustainable businesses.

I felt proud to run for the women in MicroLoan's network who show much more endurance on a daily basis than it takes to run a marathon.
It was the most magical, unforgettable day. The crowds, the atmosphere, and the rush of emotions at the finish line. Granted, you might sacrifice a few toenails - worth every one.
