The London Marathon – the world’s biggest one day annual fundraising event was due to take place on Sunday 26th April. However, the COVID-19 pandemic means that thousands of fundraising events across the world have been cancelled or postponed, the London Marathon included.

We have teamed up with the Save the UK’s Charities initiative to help MicroLoan Foundation raise vital funds for our women and families in sub-Saharan Africa and help them survive through the pandemic. 

We want you to complete an activity of your choice based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise to support MicroLoan.

People of all ages are taking on The 2.6 Challenge – walking for 2.6 miles, hosting an online workout for 26 friends, juggling for 2.6 minutes, there’s no limit to the activities you could undertake!

The best part about the challenge is you can take part from the comfort of your own home, at any time. As long as you can find a spare 2.6 minutes to do something fun, you can get involved and join #TeamMicroLoan.

To get started and register to fundraise for MicroLoan follow these five simple steps:

  1. Get your thinking cap on and dream up your 2.6 challenge
  2. Set up your fundraising page and make sure you’ve selected MicroLoan Foundation as your chosen charity
  3. Ask your friends and family to sponsor you and challenge them to take part themselves
  4. Complete your challenge
  5. Share a photo or video on social media with #TwoPointSixChallenge. Don’t forget to tag us in your posts too!
