Littania and her fish business
Littania has been a MicroLoan client for some years, she is based in Mzuzu where she runs her fish business. Littania went to school until she was 21 and has a good grasp of business. Littania has ambitious plans to diversify her fish business and wants to use the profits to buy iron sheets for her house and send her children to school.

What have you been able to buy / do as a result of your loan from the MicroLoan Foundation?
I have been able to buy larger quantities of fish from my supplier which has given me bigger profits. I have used this money to cultivate land, pay for school fees and start some livestock production.
How do you feel to be a business woman?
I am now more independent as I have my own income. This means that I am now able to send my children to school as well as help my elderly parents.
What plans do you have for the future?
I have lots of plans! I would like to have a butcher shop, build houses to rent and also become a commercial farmer.
