Discussing the concerns of commercial microfinance
Despite the current gloom engulfing the financial world, investing
in microfinance is becoming increasingly popular. Clients at the
bottom of the economic ladder are largely insulated from the global
economy.
However, there are concerns that the influx of rich investors
seeking a commercial as well as a social return may detract from the
microfinance sector's focus on poverty alleviation. In this BBC News
